Our Crane

At Piano Logistics we operate our own crane service. We have a Mercedes Atego equipped with a lorry-mounted crane capable of lifting a concert grand as high as 24 meters (79 feet). The vehicle is also equipped with a temperature-controlled body. The vehicle's length is only 26 feet, so it is very manoeuvrable in tight city roads. Our foreman on this vehicle has had over fifteen years' experience moving pianos and is a perfectionist at his job. If this cannot reach your piano then we can hire in a mobile crane.

Cranes

We can hire in cranes from mini cranes to 150ton cranes, if any crane work is on the public road you will need traffic management and banks-men which we will supply.

Council permission is required in most areas whilst on a public road, this can take from ten days to eight weeks to arrange, we can complete all paperwork and site meetings to take on crane work we have £5,000,000.of public liability insurance, which is required by all councils.

Window Removal:

Not everyone has a balcony, so our crane crew have been trained in all aspects of window removal, from sash windows to double-glazed units, including making good after.

Health and Safety:

On all crane work we carry out our own risk assessments and cover all insurance costs.
